It started with a spark.
Troglodyte Works began in a quiet moment — a simple idea in a basement apartment — that stories deserved to be remembered better than they usually are. Not just with photos that disappear into phones, or fleeting posts that vanish in a feed, but through something crafted, intentional, and lasting.
It started as a personal project: one parent trying to connect with his kids, making something they'd find meaningful. But the deeper the work went, the clearer the truth became — everyone has a story that deserves a spotlight, a frame, a place to live. Troglodyte Works grew from that belief.
The irony isn’t lost on us: the word troglodyte usually means someone stuck in the dark — a cave-dweller, a stubborn thinker, sometimes even a metaphor for a grumpy Neanderthal. While grumpy and stubborn aren't outside our wheelhouse, Troglodyte Works embraces that contradiction on purpose.
Because unlike the stereotype of a closed-minded caveman, our version of the “troglodyte” is something different: a quiet creator, an observer, someone who works in the shadows not out of ignorance, but out of intention. Someone who steps away from the noise long enough to build something meaningful.
This studio is built in that spirit — a small place with a big heart, shaped by late nights, endless curiosity, and the stubborn belief that beauty and storytelling belong to everyday people.
Today Troglodyte Works creates handcrafted collectible cards — part art, part keepsake, part memory. Each one is built through collaboration: a conversation, a photo, a story, a moment. Every card is designed to feel personal, legendary, and a little mythic, because real people deserve to feel like the heroes of their own narrative.
Most of all, Troglodyte Works hopes to remain what it has always been at its core: a small, honest studio where imagination becomes something real — something you can hold, display, share, and remember.
